Empowering Young Musicians Through 'Pianos to the People'
Introducing the American Samaritan ‘Pianos to the People’ scholarship: an opportunity for young, budding musicians to embrace their passion for the piano, regardless of financial barriers. We fervently believe in enlightening children's lives through the transformative gift of music, a free piano.
Sharing the Joy of Piano
ReBecca Evans, daughter of American Samaritan founder Douglas Evans, created this part of the program to share her lifelong love of the piano. Growing up around a family dedicated to helping others, ReBecca wanted to carry on that legacy by making music more accessible to children and families. Her goal is simple: to bring the warmth, joy, and connection of a piano into homes that might not otherwise have one.
Where Every Piano Finds a Purpose
Led by Dani Kochis, Lead Piano Technician & Program Coordinator, Pianos to the People is American Samaritan’s way of giving the gift of music to families and kids across Colorado. Each piano is carefully cleaned and inspected by Dani and our team before being rehomed—ensuring every instrument is ready to inspire its next musician.
Bringing the Magic of Music Home
Over 2500 families have witnessed the magic of music in their homes, thanks to American Samaritan. The Pianos to the People (P2P) Scholarship Program has garnered heartfelt appreciation from parents observing their child's growth both musically and personally.
